There's a massive boy from 4 with shocking ginger hair who looked positively ecstatic at having his name picked out. And a beautiful girl with corn-yellow hair in a plait from 2. She'll get lots of sponsors, I can tell. Her counterpart is extremely good-looking too, with a physique that has come from hours of training. There is also a 16 year old from 5 with jet-black hair that shines in the sunlight. I feel small and scared seeing the people that may end my life.

The 69th Annual Hunger Games (Part 4)The Peacekeepers take me to the train station, only a short walk from the Justice Building. There are hordes of camera-men and women, wielding microphones and recording equipment like swords. I stand up taller and walk straight onto the train that's waiting. I see Raney say something into a microphone someone is brandishing at her, just as I meet up with Furl. The two of us are led into our section of the train. The Peacekeepers do not leave, they just mutter quietly into a mechanical contraption and sit down to wait.
